Producer

THE OPPORTUNITY

Unknown Worlds is seeking an experienced producer for a contract opportunity to work across several studio initiatives including Subnautica 2.   Our ideal candidate is a collaborator, facilitator, and force-multiplier. They are self organized, self driven and passionate about making games. Candidates should be experienced in partner management, project planning, risk mitigation, and empowering teams to do their best work.

This is a one year contract, remote position on a fully remote team.  Ideal candidates will work US Eastern or Western European hours.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with asset pipeline teams, establishing priorities, dependencies and managing risks. 
• Build and maintain team schedules based on high level project roadmaps and goals. 
• Provide progress updates on goals and production schedules on a regular basis.  
• Manage relationships with external development partners including art outsource engagements. 
• Manage the milestone planning process and retrospectives for multiple teams. 
• Oversee co-development process with partners including establishing and reviewing milestone deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal creative leadership to identify areas of opportunity to ensure that we are developing the strongest versions of our titles tailored to each platform.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of project management methodologies and game development process.
• 5+ years experience in a production role with multiple shipped titles. Experience working on a game through all phases of development..
• Experience with agile development methodologies and managing cross-discipline teams. 
• Familiarity with common art pipelines and experience supporting and scheduling art teams. 
• Strong written and verbal communication. Strong relationship skills; the ability to manage up and down, internally and with external partners.
• Experience creating milestone schedules and defining high level requirements for project teams.
• Familiarity working in an asynchronous environment with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience managing outsource and co-development partnerships on a project. 

Preferences:

• Experience with multi-platform projects with a focus on console development.
• Experience with early access / open development models.
• Experience managing external partners and vendors.
