Job description

The Technical Artist will be responsible for art implementation, optimization, and tool development for Doiq. They will bridge the gap between the Art and Development teams, helping the Art team fully realize its vision!  This Technical Art job is for those who are available to start immediately.

Core responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Art, Developers, and Design teams to plan and construct game assets in Unity
  • Create animations and visual effects within Unity
  • Create materials/shaders to achieve unique styles and hit outstanding visual quality
  • Complete high-quality art implementation in Unity, balancing the needs for beautiful gameplay and optimal performance on the device
  • Work effectively to tackle any art-related bugs
  • Develop tools to improve efficiency for the Animation and Development teams
  • Help keep the app’s art assets clean and efficient

    Qualifications

    • Proficient with Unity UI and 2D UI
    • Develop shaders in (Cg/HLSL) to unlock new mobile-friendly VFX in Unity
    • Intermediate knowledge of Animation and VFX
    • Intermediate skills in creating high-quality VFX particle systems in Unity
    • Understanding of optimizing 3D and 2D assets for memory and performance considerations
    • Intermediate programming skills, especially on C# and Unity API
    • Adaptability to the art style of the game (Cartoon)
    • Advanced English level to communicate clearly with the team
    • Knowledge of Spine should be a differential (not a specific requirement)
